Donald Wegmiller - C-Suite Resources; Allina Health
Mr. Wegmiller is Chairman and co-founder of C-Suite Resources, a healthcare market intelligence and executive advisory firm. In addition, he is also Chairman of Scottsdale Institute, a healthcare information technology collaborative. Mr. Wegmiller brings more than 35 years of experience in health care, many spent as CEO of large multi-hospital systems. He was developer and CEO of the Allina Health System, one of the Upper Midwest’s largest integrated systems, for 15 years and then became CEO and later Chairman of INTEGRATED Healthcare Strategies, the nation’s largest healthcare executive compensation consulting firm. A small sample of Wegmiller’s past recognitions include first recipient of the Robert S. Hudgens Award; named as one of “Healthcare’s 100 Most Powerful People”; awarded the B’nai B’rith National Healthcare Award; and in March 2013 was inducted into the Healthcare Hall of Fame, an elite group of only 90 healthcare leaders including Drs. Charles and William Mayo, founders of the Mayo Clinic, and Dr. Michael Debakey, noted heart surgeon.
David Russick - Gopher Angels LLC
David Russick uses his visionary leadership to transform markets with environmentally progressive and economically sustainable businesses. He has patented and marketed new products and processes, scaled businesses to serve mass markets, and developed award winning brand strategies. Russick is also experienced in angel investing, business evaluation, strategic planning and business development. Russick is a Founder, Managing Director, and Board Member of Gopher Angels LLC, an investment organization dedicated to supporting entrepreneurship and early stage businesses in the state of Minnesota. Russick also founded and was President of TUBS, Inc., based in the Twin Cities with operations in Denver and Cleveland. He also founded BAGSTER LLC, and grew it into a nationwide waste services company. He served as President and Board Member prior to Bagster’s acquisition by a Fortune 500 company. Russick is a graduate of the University of South Dakota. He earned a Master of International Management degree from the Thunderbird School of Global Management with studies at Oxford University, Oxford England.

Tom Sega became President and Operating Partner of Duluth Pack in 2007. Since Mr. Sega’s arrival at Duluth Pack, the company has expanded from a regional mainstay into a global network. Duluth Pack currently ships products to all seven continents including Antarctica. Prior to Duluth Pack, Mr. Sega held several leadership roles in Sales, Sales Management, and Marketing in the North American Pulp and Paper industry. Mr. Sega holds an Engineering Degree from the University of Minnesota-Duluth.
Elizabeth Ross - Periscope
Liz Ross, President and CEO of Periscope. In Liz’s 20 years of experience, she has held leadership positions at some of the world’s most forward-thinking and fastest-growing agencies, including Global CMO at IPG Mediabrands, Chief Growth Officer at Publicis Groupe’s Digitas, U.S. President at Tribal DDB, and roles in business development at Modem Media and J. Walter Thompson. As a dynamic leader accustomed to navigating today’s complex marketing world, Liz has pioneered brand-consumer relationships for clients such as General Motors, Delta, HP, General Electric, Michelin, Citibank, IBM, Clorox, Hillshire Brands, Visa and Pepsi-Cola, to name a few. In 2008, Liz was inducted into the American Advertising Federation (AAF) Hall of Achievement and was named a “Woman to Watch” by Advertising Age. Amanda LaGrange - Tech Dump
Amanda LaGrange is the CEO of Tech Dump and Tech Discounts, the linked e-waste recycling, refurbishing, and retail social enterprise that creates jobs for people with barriers to employment. Amanda helped to found Tech Dump as a board member in 2010 while she worked at General Mills in Corporate Finance. Grounded in her belief that business can be a solution for poverty and injustice, she joined the Tech Dump leadership team as the Director of Marketing in 2013 and created awareness that drove double digit annual growth and established Tech Dump as an award-winning top electronics recycler in Minnesota and a leader nationwide in its commitment to the environment and job creation. When she became CEO in 2015, Amanda operationalized a strategy to increase revenue that included portable cell-phone collection bins, the successful launch of the retail brand Tech Discounts and a second stand-alone location for store.
Amanda has testified before the Minnesota Legislature on the Right to Repair and has been recognized by The Minneapolis - Saint Paul Business Journal as a Top 50 Women in Business and as a Titan of Tech. Amanda is an Indiana native who graduated from Indiana University (Go Hoosiers!).
Bharat Pulgam - Runerra
Bharat Pulgam co-founded MXERS Audio early in 2015, Vitrose Health in 2017 and Runerra in 2017, and has experiences working in non-profit and startup sectors since his sophomore year of high school.
Aside from MXERS, Bharat places much of his time towards efforts focused on breaking the stigma surrounding mental health through H.E.A.R.T. (Helping Every At Risk Teen). He also focuses heavily on connecting other students with entrepreneurial resources within the Greater MSP area through Generation.MN while also supporting the growing ecosystem through a multitude of projects. He was until recently a Junior studying Management Information Systems at the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management.
Sam Lerdahl - Runerra
Sam founded EduPass in 2015 to bridge the communication gap between students and administrators with qualitative data. With a passion for Entrepreneurship, he later Co-founded Generation.MN, a non-profit that provides resources for student entrepreneurs. Co-founded in 2017, his current project, Runerra, brings communities together while also providing a unique solution to the last mile delivery space.
Meghan Sharkus - Expression Med
When she was 17, Meghan started a research project to make a fun tape for her friend's insulin pump. 1 year and many pivots later she launched her company ExpressionMed a designed medical tape that keeps wearable devices on longer and more comfortably. Today, ExpressionMed has customers in all 50 states and over 30 countries. Meghan recently accepted the Theil fellowship an honor given to only 20 under 23 every year. Because of this she left St.Thomas after her second year and works on her business full time.
Phil Xiao - Homi
Philip Xiao is the co-founder and CEO of Homi, a college specific social network that connects students with jobs via their alumni. He started his career on Morgan Stanley’s high frequency trading desk in Hong Kong but was inspired to build Homi by the alumni mentors who shaped his career. Phil has been featured in Minnesota Business Magazine’s Real Power 50 and Homi was nominated in Startups Most Likely to Succeed in 2017. Phil graduated from Carleton College.
Appo Agbamu - Ahrvo
Appo is the founder of ahrvo.com, the first mobile app for investors that uses a multifactor ranking system and artificial intelligence to process market and company financial information to provide users with easily understandable stock scores. The investment app is targeted to young investors and available on the Google and Apple app stores.
Appo is also a Board Member of Compatible Technology International, a nonprofit organization that designs and distributes food and water tools to help families in the developing world rise above hunger and poverty.
Appo is a UMD Alumni, where he studied Accounting, Economics, and Finance. He was a student director of the Bulldog Fund and competed on the Bulldog’s track team. Following his time at UMD, Appo went on to be a Portfolio Manager Associate at U.S. Trust, only to leave this job and pursue his startup.
